Supply Chain Innovation at Kenco

Written by Kristi Montgomery | Dec 9, 2015 7:01:00 PM

Recently, I had the opportunity to present on "Innovation" at Kenco's Annual Fall Customer Summit. I like to open my round table discussions with an exercise illustrating the many different ways individuals interpret what innovation means to them in the supply chain. Below is 1 example from our moderator Adrian Gonzalez:

I like how he thought of innovation - it dovetails nicely into my thoughts on the topic:

“Innovation is the implementation of ideas in order to create new business value.”

I also think it is a good idea to define ideaimplementation, and value when discussing innvoation and the value it brings to the supply chain. Please see the SlideShare below for all the slides in my presentation.

I also discussed some emerging trends, including drones, 3D printing, augmented reality, and AGVs — all of which Kenco Innovation Labs is exploring in our lab headquartered in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Please feel free to comment below if you have any questions or would like to open a discussion about the slides.
